Onion River Chorus is a non-auditioned community chorus based in Montpelier, Vermont. Our singers, on average between 50-60 in number, come from the greater Central Vermont area. The chorus is directed by Larry Gordon of Marshfield, Vermont and accompanied by Lynnette Combs. Guest conductors are regularly employed to fill in for Larry when he is away on tour with his other ensembles.

Over the years the Onion River Chorus has developed a reputation for its innovative programming, often championing the works of lesser known Baroque, 20th century and contemporary composers. Whether performing a cappella or collaborating with professional soloists and instrumentalists Onion River Chorus aspires to a high level of musicianship and provides an opportunity for artistic growth to all singers, regardless of their level of expertise. The chorus prepares 2 programs for performance each year.

We welcome all interested singers to join us. We rehearse at Christ Church (upstairs in the Taplin Auditorium), 64 State St., Montpelier, Vermont on Monday nights from 7-9pm.
